Koen Theunis began his career in hospitality industry when he was growing up in Belgium; through his mother cooking hobbies. He attended a cooking school, followed by a BA in Hospitality Management in Antwerp, Belgium.
He went to London in 1993 and worked with The Dorchester Hotel,Intercontinental Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and The Goodwood Hotel Group.
After more than 10 years in London, in 2003 he become part of the pre-opening team at Madinat Jumeirah; he worked in senior F&B roles for TheEmirates Golf club, the corporate office at Emaar Hospitality Group and Whissle.
In late 2012 he set up his own agency KTConsulting & Concepts. It was rebranded in 2018 to RBnH Solutions. It has been involved in a whole range of projects in Dubai, KSA, Bahrain but also in the Maldives and as far as Grand Cayman Islands and the Bahamas.
He is committed on delivering creativity and innovation, long-term sustainability and consistency in product and service delivery. Whether it is concept creation, a feasibility study, kitchen design, F&B strategy, masterplanning for a mixed-use development or a shopping mall or implementation of a brand.
